Olney Culture Lab of CultureTrust Greater Philadelphia (OCL) is thrilled to announce the line-up for most of this year Live @ Roots Garden performance series. Held within the lush green confines of the Roots Community Garden in Fisher Park, this setting is a perfect place for fertile music creativity to be shared by a variety of diverse performers from Philadelphia.
Held on Sunday evenings at 6 PM during the golden hour, this series offer an intimate and mostly unplugged experience of musical artistry.
This year, we present the following artists:
May 18 – Olney’s favorite and homegrown sons – Drummer Malik Henry, Bassist Timothy Ragsdale and Steelpan Kyeis Henry (soca/Caribbean)
June 1 – (rescheduled from May 4) Percussionist, Children’s Author and Agricultural Expert Joseph Harrison
June 22 – Shinjoo Cho – El Sesenta Dúo (Argentine Tango bandoneón)
July 20 – Dan Blacksberg (Klezmer Trombone)
August 20 – Artist TBD
