OCL Sound Designer June Lopez to appear at Clubfriends next week!

Olney Culture Lab’s in-house Sound Designer June Lopez has been invited by Clubfriends Radio & Records to give a demonstration and talk on Thursday, June 18 @ 7 PM. June will share the stories of how music shaped him and his artistic practice as a renowned sound artist who has been in the Philly scene for almost 35 years. Those in attendance will hear more about June’s upcoming site specific performance called de/compostion: Native Trees, Sonic Roots. It is set to premiere on Saturday, June 27 at Bennett Compost.

Thanks to Alexa Colas at Clubfriends Radio & Records for the opportunity.

Clubfriends is this amazing personal project of Alexa’s that has spawned a series of public facing installations. It first started out as an effort to reconnect with the joy of being a music listener when she converted her living room into a listening space and a forum for story sharing by like-minded souls.

Come down and participate in Alexa’s ongoing dialogue with other Philadelphians and to reaffirm humanity through the mutual love of music.
