Malik Henry is a native of the Olney neighborhood of Philadelphia who seeks to use his artistry and entrepreneurial acumen to elevate the community which he calls home. This instrumental track is the first song from his forthcoming EP that showcases his band NuERA Collective. The album will be his contribution to Olney Culture Lab’s Olney Embrace Project which celebrates the diverse cultural expressions of the neighborhood.

This song tells the story of a young man who has great dreams, but everyone discourages him. Instead of giving up, he decides to continue to work hard in order to achieve his goals, and be an example to others that as long as you work hard and stay persistent, you too can fly high!
