Dear Friends & Neighbors,

The early part of our calendar year is usually a quiet time for us as we prepare for and ramp up to activities that begin when the warmer weather arrives.  But this spring, as we encounter the coronavirus health crises in our lives, there is a likelihood that our best laid plans will need to be set aside for an indefinite amount of time in order for humanity to come together and address this communal threat.

That said, necessity is the mother of invention, and we need now more than ever to find other ways to heal ourselves and remain in solidarity as we face this challenge.  We need to look after one another, even if we are told to keep a safe distance.

While we may not be able to congregate in person, that does not mean we cannot do so in spirit.  Olney Culture Lab is exploring ways to continue building bridges, telling stories and sharing our cultural expressions, albeit through different means.

When we are given the collective green light to go ahead with our usual activities, you can count on us to be right there with our party hats on and celebrating our diverse cultures the way we have been these past several years.

Until then, stay tuned as we tinker in the lab and get back to you with some engagements to break up the prolonged cabin fever.

Feel free to reach out to us at olneyculturelab@gmail.com with any questions or suggestions.

Yours in community,

Your Friends at Olney Culture Lab
