Dear Friends,
Olney Culture Lab has been blessed to have started from nothing but the joy of camaraderie and community in 2014 to something more robust yet still grounded in that joy. Besides bringing back some favorites such as Olney Youth Arts Festival and Jazz on the Green at Fisher Park this year, we are launching some engagements with the children in the neighborhood.
One is pilot program to teach podcasting with students at Olney High School; the other is a collaboration with students of Ms. Donnelly, the visual art teacher, at Lowell Elementary School to create food-related designs for reusable grocery bags to promote positive habits and phase out single-use plastics. We will also share these bags with St. Paul’s Lutheran Church across the street to offer to patrons of their food pantry.
All these are made possible by your ongoing support for our community-centered work. Please consider donating any amount $5, $10, $20 to help us continue this type of creative and nourishing work. If you give $20 or more, we’ll be happy to send you one of these bags when they are produced along with entering your name in any of our wonderful raffle prizes from locally-based artisans and artists.
Thank you and spread the joy!
